In the language of the local Wiradjuri people, the name historically has meant "the place of many crows."
We are famous for producing many champions in sport. Wagga Wagga is a great place to use as a base, and travel the Riverina. We have some of the finest wineries in Griffith, a beautiful old haunted homestead in Junee along with a licorice & chocolate factory.
Wagga Wagga offers fantastic golf courses, and many superb restaurants. We celebrate many festivals such as the Wagga Wagga Gold Cup horseracing carvinal and the jazz festival.
