About Wagga Wagga

In the language of the local Wiradjuri people, the name historically has meant "the place of many crows." We are famous for producing many champions in sport. Wagga Wagga is a great place to use as a base, and travel the Riverina. We have some of the finest wineries in Griffith, a beautiful old haunted homestead in Junee along with a licorice & chocolate factory. Wagga Wagga offers fantastic golf courses, and many superb restaurants including a floating restaurant on the Murrumbidgee river. We celebrate many festivals such as the Wagga Wagga Gold Cup horseracing carvinal and the jazz festival.
